Frequently Asked Questions

Pixie Nursery School is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We also offer overnight and weekend getaway stays per individual request.  Please call or text for a quote.  

We encourage naptime for all our students as required by their developmental stage. Infants will take 3 naps a day, toddlers 2 or 1. We will follow and honor your child's natural rhythm for naps.   

All children are required to brush their teeth before taking naps. Far from what you might expect, it is a routine they love doing together.  

We typically do field trips to the Bay Area Discovery Museum, the beach, the library, or hikes around town. Parents are notified at least 1 week prior to an outing and are invited to join us if they choose.    

At full capacity, Pixie Nursery School has 12 children with a ratio of 4 children to 1 staff member. During weekends and overnight stays, this ratio drops to 2:1 or 1:1. Please note weekend and overnight ratios may change. Enrollment for the weekend is fairly new, and most clients are still unaware of our weekend program. We will always prioritize your child's needs and keep you informed of any changes.

Throughout the year we have the honor of looking after 4 infants in our program.  Infant openings are competitive and rare. If you have interest to register your child in our program, please schedule a tour ASAP and reserve your child's spot even before their birth. We are accepting infant and toddlers registration for the year 2024 and 2025 now. 

We currently have  openings for Infants (minimum 3 months of age) and toddlers 2-4 years old.
